Thunderbird calendar

Synchronise calendar

With Thunderbird, you can not only manage your own appointments, but also automatically save it to MyDrive.

  1. To use a calender saved on MyDrive, click on "New Calendar..." in Thunderbird.
  2. Select "On the Network" and then "Next".
  3. Enter your MyDrive User name and as "Location" use the WebDAV address for MyDrive:
    (instead of "Calendar.ics" you can also use another name)

    Server location Switzerland: https://mydrive.ch/webdav.php/Calendar.ics
    Server location EU: https://eu.mydrive.ch/webdav.php/Calendar.ics

  4. Then select "Find Calendars".
  5. Enter your MyDrive Password, make sure "Use Password Manager" is active and then select "OK".
  6. Click on "Subscribe".

 

 


 

Publish calender once

With Thunderbird, you can not only manage your own appointments, but also make them available to others.
Using this method the calender is not automatically synchronised with MyDrive, it is only published once.

 

  1. To publish your calendar on MyDrive, right-click on the desired calendar in Thunderbird.
  2. Select “Publish calendar” from the context menu.
  3. Enter the WebDAV address for MyDrive as the “URL for publishing”:
    (instead of "Calendar.ics" you can also use another name)

    Server location Switzerland: https://mydrive.ch/webdav.php/Calendar.ics
    Server location EU: https://eu.mydrive.ch/webdav.php/Calendar.ics
  4. Select "Publish" and enter your login information, if required.
  5. The calendar is now published, you can close the window.
