Using YouTube links on MyDrive

This guide shows you how to save YouTube video links on MyDrive so that you have quick access to your favorite videos or audio songs at any time.

Step 1: Open a YouTube video

  1. Open your preferred web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Go to YouTube and search for the video you want to save.
  3. Click on the video to play it.

Step 2: Copy the video link

  1. When the video is playing, you will see the URL (web address) of the video in the address bar of your browser.
  2. Click on the URL to highlight it.
  3. Use the mouse to drag the highlighted URL to the desktop and create a shortcut.

Step 3: Load this link onto MyDrive

  1. Now load this link - just like any other file - onto MyDrive in a folder, e.g. My favorite YouTube videos.

Step 4: Accessing the saved video

  1. All your YouTube videos and audio files can now be played directly on MyDrive without taking up any space.
  2. Start the media player in MyDrive as usual and enjoy.

 

Now you have conveniently saved the desired YouTube link on MyDrive and can access it at any time.

 

Fix WebDAV Windows problems

The following problems are fixed.

 

- MS Office message on WebDAV access
- MS Office error due to denied access
- Increase Windows 50MB file limit

Can I change my subscription during the subscription period?

 

You can adjust your subscription yourself at any time.

The credit of the current subscription will be credited to you when you order the new subscription.

 

Domains are the exception because they can only be reserved with fixed terms.

 


 

What happens if I do not renew my subscription?

 

Before your subscription expires, we will contact you three times by email.

  • If you wish to renew your subscription, simply pay the invoice using your chosen payment method.
  • If you do not want to renew your subscription, you do not have to do anything. However, we would be happy to receive a notification.

What are the access options to the cloud storage?

You can choose from many options for flexible access to your data.

  • Website: Our website is fully mobile friendly and offers a variety of very useful features.
  • Share: Easily share your favorite photos, videos, music and watch them anytime.
  • Users: Allow selected people access via login and define what they can do.

  • App: Use your cloud storage on the go. Our app is available for Android and IOS.

Why are no prices visible?

Please register first free of charge. Afterwards you will see the whole range with prices and you can order directly according to your wishes.

Are there any restrictions on file uploads?

MyDrive allows you to upload all possible file types.

 

With the web browser, the upload is supported up to a maximum of 25 GB per file.

With the MyDrive Client you can also upload files larger than 25 GB.

With the MyDrive Sync you can also upload files larger than 25 GB.

With the MyDrive APP you can also upload files larger than 25 GB.

 

If you don't have enough free space on your account, you can always extend it under "Change subscription".

 

Keyboard shortcuts

We support numerous of functions via keyboard shortcuts.

You can call the list of keyboard functions with Shift + ? (Available in the home view)

How many files can be stored per folder?

Each folder may not contain more than 10'000 files or subfolders in total. With the paid version, the limit per folder is 20'000 files or subfolders. You can store more files by splitting them into multiple folders.

 

Increase Windows 1'000 files limit (for displaying more than 1'000 files)

  1. Press Windows + R, type regedit in the open box, and then click Ok.
  2. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\ from the drop-down structure in the left pane.
  3. Double click FileAttributesLimitInBytes in the right pane.
  4. Click the Decimal bubble under the Base section.
  5. In the Value data box, type 20000000, and then click Ok.
  6. Reboot your computer.

Can I synchronize my data automatically?

Yes, MyDrive Sync synchronizes the selected data between your MyDrive account and the computer. This way you always have the latest versions of all data at hand.

 

It works like this:

  • The synchronization is done to the MyDrive account completely automatically. As soon as something has changed, for example when a file or folder has been added or an existing file has been edited or deleted, MyDrive Sync updates these changes on all devices on which you are logged in.
  • As soon as there is an active internet connection, the data is updated in the background. If you are offline, the data will be synchronized automatically as soon as the device is back online and MyDrive Sync is started.
  • Select the sync direction for each folder during setup.

Can I recover files that I accidentally deleted?

Yes, deleted data is automatically moved to the recycle bin for 30 days. So you can restore any data yourself at any time.

 

If data was also deleted in the recycle bin, it is still available for 28 days in our emergency backup.

Please contact us if you would like to restore your data.

Can I reset the download limit on the share link?

Yes, you can reset the download limit. Log in to your account as an administrator. Then switch to the Share Overview menu. Click the icon in the "Downloads" column to the right of the corresponding share link. The downloads will be reset and up to 2000 downloads can be performed on this shared link again.
